This piece titled echo is inspired by the ripple effect created on sill water by vibrations. Dripping techniques were used to create a mirrored quality to the garment imitating waters reflective properties. Repetitive parallel lines are featured throughout the piece to imitate the continuous waves created by motion upon its still surface. The colour pallet chosen incorporates deep green tones with shade of black to represent bodies of water found in forested areas. The bed of liquid envisioned for the design is heavy; less viscous than water normally found in the ocean. Fungi and other infestations such as scum and sludge provide the water with a thicker dynamic. This is featured in the weight of the garment. This eveningwear gown is a perfect balance of strength and fragility, as is water.
